About The Labs
The Labs are programs and workshops run in the unique London Creative Labs manner. A group of people (possibly including you) from a wide range of backgrounds will work together through a programs and workshops:
- To map out gaps where social issues are simply not being addressed (whether by government, normal business, or other agencies)
- To spot the opportunities for Social Businesses to fill those gaps, make a profit and make a profound difference
- To have a chance to act on those opportunities
- Investors will also have a chance to invest in the newly formed Social Businesses as they arise.
- Entrepreneurs can dive right in to exploit the opportunities, and there will be a role for others to join in the experience>
Above all, we will keep our minds and hearts focused on changing society through disruptive social innovation. We will look at the assumptions that lie underneath the systems that are not working. We will work with the best of the process facilitation, creative intervention, action research and disruptive innovation methods that there are to create real, lasting change

Hi
Can I work with you on this?
It would be great if it were possible to create away for innovative
people to collaborate even easier online by building on your community
(maybe with the software theps.net have created) and to create a
collaboration and innovation crowdsourced/funded network… (Can I do
this for you? though need to work with a programmer to set up the
software and i can do the design…)
It would be great to work for your team to create a innovation and
collaboration version of KIVA but where any surplus funds are then
reinvested into new innovations that can solve human problems (like KIVA
but based on innovation:)
There is open source software out there that we can use to do this and I
would love to crack on with helping your team do this in the new year.
Is this possible?
I am on twitter @whymandesign what is your twitter name please?
Ed
Also
Can AKVO and Indiandoctorsaborad work
together? Ideally with BEwelcome.org?!
Would it be possible to volunteer with you to build a working product
using the MIFOs software that provides microloans and generates funds to
pay for the MIFOs software development in a self sutaining way? There is
a gap in the market that KIVA have not covered that needs to be filled
by a not for profit open source product. Who should I talk to about this?
Also
Would it be possible to develop this innovation cafe format (below)
within your brand?
Essentially the cafe is run with social enterprise
partners using 100% net profit to invest in social enterprise created by
customers and the community. This means that you would be able to take
part in a new location at a very low/no cost while creating a social
enterprise germinator which secures jobs. Everyone involved will be paid
performance pay so as the organisation grows everyone will be
financially rewarded too.
This space will provide a
location for young people to access the internet and collaborate
together all over the world in hard to reach areas and are looking to
produce this with an existing organisation that will benefit too. Could
we run this self sustaining project as part of your project as it would
be an extra service that increases peoples awareness of your great work
while facilitating collaboration on projects. Development website at
http://www.FREEtraid.org. Who should I talk to about proposing creating self
sustaining Open Space Cafe’s with your organisation?
We are also looking for funding to kick start the production (as we aim
to donate 100% net profit to fund the social enterprise that young
people create within the spaces). Can you suggest any good sources of
funding?
